Fees vary depending on your building’s size and complexity, but expect to pay between $8-15 per lot per week for professional management. Yes, it seems like a lot until you consider what happens when things go wrong without proper management. A single legal dispute or major maintenance issue can cost more than years of management fees.
Absolutely. Owners corporations can terminate management contracts with proper notice, usually three months. The tricky part isn’t firing your current manager—it’s finding a better one. Don’t jump from the frying pan into the fire.
Unpaid levies create serious problems for everyone in the building. We start with friendly reminders, then formal notices, and eventually legal action if necessary. The Strata Schemes Management Act gives us strong powers to recover debts, including placing liens on properties. It’s much easier for everyone when people pay on time.
